Our facility contains state-of-the-art, digital, computerized x-ray equipment. X-rays are taken on most patients to give the doctor an inside look at what are the current bone structure of the spine and overall skeletal structure. From this x-ray, the doctor can tell your current spine angles as well as any potential further conditions, including the possible need for further imaging or testing, such as an MRI.
If you have come to us from another facility where you have had x-ray imaging performed, please provide our physicians the reports from those images. If you have a digital or film copy of the images, please bring those with you to your initial examination. This can provide useful information to the doctors on your first visit and expedite your course of treatment.
Furthermore, we can provide gowning during the x-ray exposure process but if you would feel more comfortable wearing your own clothing, please come with gym clothes that do not have any metal or buttons on the attire. For men, gym shorts are acceptable coupled with a t-shirt (or you can be bare-backed) and for women, a sports bra and “yoga” pants are appropriate.
